Dear Parents,

Students have received their essay prompt for their research project on historical figures from the American Revolution and American Reformers.

The 4th grade team will be at the Chandler Downtown Library this Saturday from 11am-12:30pm (Walls) 1pm-2:30pm (Gore) and 3pm-4:30pm (Leonard).

We are there to help students understand how to use library resources and distinguish between reliable and potentially unreliable sources. A parent must stay with their child the entire time.

Because it is a Saturday this is not a required activity but we strongly recommend students attend, especially if they have not yet taken the time to open a library account. Thank you and I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

Mr. Leonard

Concert Etiquette

Archway Lincoln students are looking very forward to their upcoming spring concert on Thursday, April 28th. In order to prepare you for full enjoyment of this musical event, we would ask that all Archway families take a moment to read through the following list of appropriate etiquette practices and procedures for our concert:

·         Please remain seated for the entire concert

·         Please make sure that all cell phones are on silent

·         Please do not set up personal video cameras to record the concert

·         Please keep younger siblings with a parent at all times

·         Archway students will not be dismissed until after the concert

·         Please do not bring any food or drink into the gym except water

Your students have worked very hard to make this a special event for you. With your help, we can support our students in their artistic endeavors by being courteous audience members. We are excited to see you on April 28th!

Literature Test on Wednesday: They should review the study guide and chapters 1-8 including their worksheets that they have brought home.

Math Quiz on Thursday: They should study their Math study guides which they have received today. Quiz looks extremely similar to test.

Spalding Quiz on Friday. They have received all their spalding words for the week as a means of cutting down on paper waste. I hope that they do not begin to write down all the words on Monday evening. They should be doing the words along with their classmates each day.

Thank you,

Mr. Leonard
