Dear Parents,

In academic news: We will be having our first quiz on Prince Caspian on Thursday. We will also being having our weekly spelling quiz on Friday.

In Health News: We had four students home today, and another two sent home during the day due to illness. I am sending home a reminder of all things to be aware of and reasons why it might be best to keep your children at home. We do not want others getting sick as well. Please use your best judgement.

In related news, we are in  desperate need of Kleenex. Any and all willing to donate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance,

That is all,

Mr. Leonard

On Friday, please have the children pack a paper bag lunch with their name on it.

There will be no homework on Friday because of the MLK holiday. No school next week Monday, the 18th.

Welcome Back!

Hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable break.

We will be reciting “Paul Revere’s Ride” the 7th and 8th of January. We will discuss delivery and expectations on Wednesday. This is the fourth grade project and is for a grade. Please work on articulation, fluency and expression. Welcome Back!

We will be going to the MIM (Musical Instrument Museum) on Friday, January 15th.

Most of you already signed up for the field trip at the beginning of the year but I know we have some newer students who may not have and it may have gone under the radar for others. Please make sure you sign up, at https://archwaylincoln.mycustomevent.com/ShoppingCart.aspx?com=detailview&iid=38&&returncom=productlist&source=search

It is a $20 charge, which accommodates for busing. This serves as a permission slip. We look forward to everyone’s attendance. We are still looking for three volunteer chaperons, as these spots will be filled on a first come bases. Please email me at jleonard@archwaylincoln.org if you are interested. Chaperons must have fingerprint clearance by Great Hearts.

This quarter in literature we will start off reading Prince Caspian by C. S. Lewis. It is a popular story and should be easy to obtain if you have not yet done so. Please bring the book in by Monday the 11th.
